The Brief before

The Brief

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Gerald and Mark on previous projects, but this was our first opportunity to collaborate on their main company website. They came to us with a clear vision: they wanted the site built in WordPress, not only for its flexibility but also to serve as a powerful backend system to support various internal business functions.

They provided a strong and detailed brief, which gave us the perfect foundation to get started. To future-proof the project, we implemented a WordPress Multisite setup—allowing them to manage multiple websites from a single admin dashboard. This approach gives them full control over current and future digital platforms, all from one central location, making content management and expansion far more efficient.

The Approach

Our approach began with a detailed discovery phase, where we worked closely with Gerald and Mark to fully understand the needs of both their customer-facing website and the internal processes they wanted to streamline. With their clear vision in mind, we focused on developing a solution that would serve dual purposes: a professional, easy-to-navigate website for external users, and a robust backend that could support various internal business operations.

Given the importance of future growth and efficiency, we chose to implement a WordPress Multisite setup. This allowed us to create a scalable infrastructure where multiple websites—now or in the future—can be managed from a single, centralised admin area. This not only simplifies content management across brands or divisions but also enables a cohesive digital strategy across the business.

Throughout the project, we maintained a strong focus on usability, performance, and long-term maintainability. Every feature was built with scalability in mind, giving Gerald and Mark a digital solution that can evolve with their business and support their operations more effectively over time.

Branding

Branding

Since this project was a complete fresh start, we took the opportunity to review every aspect of the company’s digital presence—including the branding. After an open and constructive discussion with the team, we highlighted that the existing brand identity, while familiar, was starting to feel outdated and didn’t quite reflect the modern, forward-thinking direction of the business.

We explained how a refreshed visual identity could not only bring new energy to the website but also strengthen how the brand is perceived by both existing and potential customers. By modernising elements such as the logo, typography, and colour palette—while still maintaining recognisable links to the original design—we aimed to evolve the brand rather than replace it. The team were fully on board, and this collaborative approach led to a revitalised identity that now sits confidently at the core of the new website and across all digital touchpoints.
