Waterproof Cases Co UK Web Design

The Brief

We first met Tim and Michelle from Waterproof Cases roughly 10 years ago when we submitted a proposal for a new e-commerce store. Regrettably, we weren't selected for the project, mainly because a competing company was geographically closer to them.

However, it was a pleasant surprise to hear from them again, expressing interest to redesign a new Ecommerce platform for Waterproof Cases.

The existing website was built on Lemonstand, which sadly no longer receives support. They had become accustomed to the features Lemonstand provided. To accommodate their needs, we made adjustments to our WM Commerce platform, ensuring it had similar features. Additionally, we introduced a range of bespoke functionalities too.

The Approach

As always, our approach began with thorough research and strategy, especially since this was a new industry for us. We posed detailed questions to pinpoint the precise target market and to understand the primary purposes clients would have for these cases.

After completing the research, we devised a strategy to deliver a website that was not only visually appealing but also optimised for user experience. Additionally, we wanted to ensure that the platform would allow Tim and Michelle to manage their business online with utmost simplicity.

We started with the design of the homepage. With just a few minor adjustments, we proceeded to design the internal pages. After some minimal refinements, the project was ready to move into the development phase.

Branding

Since Tim and Michelle had used their branding for many years, it remained unchanged. However, they didn't have formal brand guidelines. So, we conducted research to identify the fonts and color palette associated with their existing branding. We then incorporated these elements to ensure the website accurately represented their brand.

Web Design

Waterproof Cases was developed using our WM Commerce platform, but with a unique twist. Anticipating Tim and Michelle's plans for future websites, we pre-configured the content management system to allow for seamless integration and centralised management of multiple sites.

Our relationship with the team at Waterproof Cases has since flourished. We now provide digital marketing services for their websites, which has proven to be highly effective, resulting in a significant increase in business revenue.
