The Case Shop

The Brief

We initially met Tim and Michelle from Waterproof Cases about 10 years ago and did a proposal for a new e commerce store, unfortunately we weren't commissioned for the project simply because the company we were competing against was located closer than we were.

It was great to hear from the guys again and that they wanted to bring us on board for a new project they had in mind.

They wanted a brand new website for a company they were looking to setup selling a huge range of protective and waterproof equipment cases.

Their current websites ran on Lemonstand which unfortunately has no further support. They had got very used to all the features Lemonstand had to offer so we made tweaks to our WM Commerce platform for them so the features were very similar and added a host of new bespoke features too.

The Approach

As Tim and Michelle were looking to setup a new brand, the first stage was to come up with a name so after a little brainstorming we all thought a very simple approach was best and The Case Shop was born.

Next on the list was to give The Case Shop a new logo and a guideline for the branding, a few concepts were designed and we went with a very simple approach. The colours were important for customer recognition so we went for a light blue and white, this is a colour combination we do have a lot of experience.

Once the guys were happy with the branding it was web design time and we already knew the approach we were going to take - a wide, modern site with everything boxed up with bold imagery. All internal pages to be modern, clean and very simple for consumers to navigate.

The guys warmed to the approach straight away and once design was complete there was a fair amount of development to get it all working how the guys wanted.

Branding

As The Case Shop was a new entity we started with a new brand, we love it as it's clean, it has the apearance of a case using THE as the handle.

Of course we love the colours as they are the similar to our brand, we love the end result and we feel it sits extremely well on the website and marketing material too.

Web Design

The website had extensive bespoke design and development and the WMM team really went to work on achieving an industry leading look for The Case Shop.

Since the website has been launched we have Google Ads and Shopping campaigns running alongside a long term SEO plan and initial results have been well above expectations for us and Tim and Michelle.

We have now got a great relationship with Tim and Michelle and we are already getting ready to start the next project for them!

This was a big team effort for the WMM team and I think the site says it all of the level of what our team are able to achieve!

Well above expectations

We met West Midlands Media around 10 years ago to discuss a new project and were very impressed with their work, we had multiple quotes for the project and decided due to location to choose another organisation. In 2019 we decided to set up a new company and required branding and a new e commerce platform so decided to call the guys from WMM for a meeting to discuss what they could offer us. After a few meetings and a detailed proposal for the work we required, we commissioned WMM to start the project. The new site has now launched and is performing well above expectations. We have now planned in new projects with the team and are looking forward to working with WMM for many years to come.
