We are recruiting for a full-time PHP web developer with commercial experience. The role will entail the development of exciting, responsive bespoke websites as part of a small, friendly team. Whilst also updating websites for our roster of existing clients too. We've been around for over a decade and specialise in bespoke requirements so there's a fresh challenge every day, across a multitude of platforms and libraries - be it our in-house PHP OOP code-base and CMS, Laravel, Wordpress or legacy code.

The role responsibilities will include:

1. Development of bespoke websites

2. Updates to current clients websites

3. Assisting in supporting existing client websites.

Personal Characteristics

1. Experience in a digital agency environment with a portfolio of work.

2. Appreciation of commercial environment and pressures.

3. Flexible, open-minded approach to work with a 'can do’ attitude

4. Excellent organisation and time-management skills.

5. Confidence and self-motivation to work under minimal supervision.

Essential Skills Required

Front & Back-end development experience:
Excellent PHP skills – OOP and Procedural
MYSQL
JavaScript / JQuery
HTML5 & CSS3
Bootstrap or Foundation knowledge

Desirable Skills

Wordpress / Woo-Commerce
Version control (Git / BitBucket). 
SASS / LESS
Composer
Modern front-end tools  (Gulp, Yarn, NPM)
API and 3rd Party Integrations
Knowledge of MVC frameworks (Laravel, Codeigniter, Cake PHP etc).
Web Usability and SEO - Aware of current trends and standards and able to put these into practice.
