Our contact gave us good advice about how to structure the site and was very patient as we worked up the copy and images. When the design was complete, he even came to see us to show us how to make minor copy alterations or add new material so that the site can stay up to date. I am pleased to confirm that West Midlands Media have recently carried out the re-building of our website www.yachtsun.com so we are now able to self manage updates and additions. The work was carried out over a two week period to an agreed time table; we were very pleased with both the performance of the staff and the work carried out, which was as quoted and to budget.
We have had expensive disappointments with three larger web design companies over the last four years, so were pleased to find West Midlands Media who we felt we could trust and their people were a pleasure to work with. In light of this we are currently preparing another project which we look forward to them in the near future.
I am the proprietor of a small Beauty Salon in Wolverhampton. Due to the natural turnover of clientele (fortunately more stay than go!) we are always trying to find the best way to attract new clientele. Word of mouth has been and remains the best source, but this can be slow and requires backup from other areas of advertising. Having tried the usual phonebooks, newspaper ads and leaflets etc I decided to have a website. I was approached by a sales Rep (not from West Midlands Media Ltd) who promised me a professionally designed website guaranteed to be on the front page of all major search engines. I was deeply disappointed with a web page which went live before I had even viewed it. The information was incorrect and the whole appearance certainly not what I had been promised. Eventually after many phone calls I got a poor ineffectual website. To add insult to injury I paid a small fortune for this shoddy work and continued to do so for 2 years! Needless to say I got very little trade from the site and decided the internet was not the best way to advertise my business.
At this point I was approached by Duncan from West Midlands Media Ltd. Despite my reservations I was so impressed with some of the sites they had designed and the much more affordable package I was offered, I decided to have another go at the internet. Within a few weeks a new website had been built. It was an entirely new design and logo for my business. The original idea developing from an illustration I found with Duncan, when he came to my home to help me find suitable pictures for the site. Everything from the colour scheme to the layout was new, discussed with me and changed to meet my every whim. All the staff I spoke to were extremely helpful and very patient. The end result I believe to be fantastic, and I now have used the design on all my printed information and stationary. People have commented how lovely the site is and best of all, I now have clients regularly telephoning the salon as a result of the site. The designers also added a discount voucher for new clients and this has had a very positive result. I cannot stress enough how professional the team at West Midlands Media have been. They delivered everything they promised and have supported me every step of the way, from changing domain name servers etc to altering background colours by a few shades!
