The seller is offered an administration area to the E-Commerce shop where he/she can add, edit and delete products very easily including uploading product images, viewing order and customer details which the user can tag when the item is despatched and also send newsletters directly to customers that are signed up as a user to your site.

Probably the most important part of running an Online Shop is making the consumer feel comfortable entering personal information, West Midlands Media make sure all personal information entered into our systems is secured by a 128 Bit SSL Security Certificate this means that prying eyes cannot go through various cached files to find important details. The most common way of identifying this system is when you enter personal information into a website the http:// in the address bar should change to https:// meaning you are now within a secure enviroment and also you should see a locked padlock in the bottom of your browser, we do not recommend putting sensitive information ie credit card details into online e-commerce shops that do not have this feature.

West Midlands Media suggest that if you require a Online Shop you are best to arrange a Merchant Account from the bank you hold an account with, this provides even more security against people trying to commit credit card fraud online.

At West Midlands Media we do not use free online templates that are available like OS Commerce for example and just add a couple of graphics and charge high figures for simple work.
